Name: Thirty-One Gifts
Type: MLM & Network Marketing
Rank: 55/100 – Not Recommended!
What Is It?
Thirty-One Gifts is an MLM network marketing company that sells bags, wallets, and jewelry. The opportunity is based upon you becoming a consultant and hosting your own Thirty-One Gift parties. This means you would be inviting people within your networks to show them what Thirty-One Gifts is all about.
How Much It Costs To Get Started?
Getting started with Thirty-One Gifts is a little pricey in my opinion, but not as bad as some other multi-level marketing companies out there. To get started, you would need to purchase a Spring or Summer Enrollment Kit, which goes for $99 and contains all the business supplies and products you need to start your business.
How To Sell Thirty-One Gift Products
The way you’d be selling Thirty-One Gift Products is through hosting parties, as mentioned above. They claim they have different three methods of selling their products, but I found them all to be very similar to one another.
These methods would include face-to-face parties, online parties, and catalog parties. I find that using these personalized parties to try and sell these gifts to be very traditional in a sense and relates a lot to any direct selling opportunity out there. There are a lot better methods of selling products and am surprised to see companies still resorting to these fairly weak tactics.

So that is Thirty-One Gifts compensation plan. As you can tell it’s very intricate and detailed and even looks to be a very rewarding opportunity. But the main thing to keep in mind here is how difficult it is just to move up in rank, especially given the techniques being used to try and sell this opportunity to others.
Not only do you need to find the right people to sell these products too, but you also need to sell them the opportunity. If you can’t get your own MLM team going, it’s going to be very hard to move up in rank.
In addition, you need to learn how to train your team members so they don’t drop out on you. Thirty-One Gifts is just like any other typical MLM marketing scheme that requires you to contact your social networks and invite them over for your own little house party, just so you can sell to them. It’s not a very unique opportunity and the tactics are very sly.
Thirty-One Consultant Overview
Needless to say, the compensation is very attractive, just not all that realistic. Just achieving a few thousand in team sales is a very difficult task to achieve and it can be very hard to rely on your social networks just to make these sales.
Imagine you get a box of products sent to your house today without any real direction as what to do. Well your expected to just go out there and begin selling these products on your own, which I would personally find to be very daunting.
With that said, an opportunity like Thirty-One Gifts is not for everyone. Unless you have a huge social network of people you don’t mind using to sell products to and use them to join your opportunity, I highly don’t recommend this to be your next home-based business. Many in-fact could consider this being nothing more than a scheme that relies on you depending on your team to do the exact same thing you’ve been doing all along.
If there’s one thing I know about MLM’s, it’s how uncomfortable the whole opportunity tends to be. It’s thus no surprise that the average income of any given Thirty-One Gifts consultant was only $598 in 2014 with a given average of 7 hours worked per week.
